USC are very proud to have been involved in the ambitious £16m Ipswich Academy New Build Project
The new campus is made up of two buildings – a main block which houses innovative spaces for teaching and a sports block which is custom-made part fabric structure containing a mix of spaces as well as a main sports hall. A major investment in IT was also included in the building programme, creating a modern digital learning space, remote working, and individual devices for most students and video conferencing.
The objective for the new building was to create light, bright, airy learning spaces, whilst accommodating the advanced IT system. Universal Systems and Controls were approached by the M & E contractor to create a solution to the school’s very specific building management requirements.
The School can boast that it is highly efficient in control and power consumption, this is due to the 5 Control Panels installed by USC, allowing optimum performance whilst saving energy and reducing the School’s carbon footprint.
The commitment of all USC staff helped to ensure this project was delivered within timescales, to the high standard we demand and within budget.
