We offer fully planned preventative maintenance support with regular scheduled visits to ensure that the BeMS is fully optimised and maintained to deliver optimum performance. The preventative maintenance contract will prevent unwanted breakdowns, which in turn could cause operational problems and may result in higher operating costs.

Grant started work in 1990 as an electrical apprentice at Wiremek in Ipswich. Qualifying as an Electrician in 1994 Grant was soon promoted to Commissioning Engineer. In 2002 Grant joined IGS, which then became Cofely, as a BMS Engineer before being promoted to BMS Supervisor. Grant remained at Cofely for 9 years and became well known as a BMS Specialist. In 2009 Grant left Cofely to start his own business, Universal Systems & Controls.

Stuart Minns

Operations Manager
Stuart’s career started in 1987 at Wiremek as an apprentice controls engineer gaining skills in BMS install and project supervision. In 1993 he became a self-employed Controls engineer working for M&E contractors, including 3 years for ABB upgrading AW controls to EAWR standards. In 2001 Stuart entered the FM side of ABB business gaining promotions to Contract Manager, National Facilities Manager, and Key Account Manager before joining USC as Operations Manager in 2010

Business Support Coordinator
Hayley’s career started at BT as a Clerical Assistant.  Spending 11 years at BT, Hayley undertook a part time BA Hons degree in Business Management, enabling career progression to the position of Executive Assistant to the Director of BT Broadband.  Hayley left BT to join the Port of Felixstowe and enjoyed an 8 year career, working as a Contract Supervisor and PA to the HR Director.  After a career break to look after her 3 children, Hayley joined USC in 2015 in a part-time role and is currently responsible for the Finance, Administration and Coordination of the Business.

Scott joined U.S.C in 2017 after 25 years working in the
Electrical wholesale industry. During this time Scott has worked for three of the UK’s leading wholesalers.
WF Electrical, Newey And Eyre and Medlock Electrical.
Scott main career role has been in sales with over twenty
Years of experience in purchasing and estimating .
